Constant power 300W
Regular two-color temperature RGB board lamps adjust the color temperature and color light through a variety of different beads, which results in different power for different color temperatures and colors. Often the middle color temperature has a high power, while the power is low at low and high color temperatures. Makes the light intensity different for different color temperatures and colors. The new SD300D algorithm automatically calculates the appropriate power for different color temperatures and colors while adjusting the color temperature and color of various light beads. Keep the brightness constant while adjusting the color temperature and RGB. At maximum brightness, a constant power of 300W can be maintained.
Industrial film andtelevision full color panel lamp
The new GVM SD series LED panel is a powerful light source. It adopts full RGB + WY five-color light source. More colors can output a wider color gamut, so as to provide tens of millions of rich and bright colors.

Gavin –
It’s a good work team, the color temperature is good, and the single-point hard light is very practical.
Gordon –
Practical and very efficient
Calvin –
With the price of these lights, it gives us independent filmmakers a lot of options, and I’ve been a fan of GVM for a while now because I own some of their lights. This is one of the strongest. The build quality is solid and sturdy, and since the hinges work so well, I don’t really have any complaints. Overall, this is a solid 300 watt bi-color LED that I would definitely recommend to have in your arsenal. Very affordable option considering the power.
Daniel –
I love that it’s small, light, powerful, easy to transport and very bright.
Dominic –
The project is as good as expected. A great addition to my studio.
Ian –
I use it more than anything out of curiosity, but it’s becoming my new go-to light. Simple interface, powerful basic functions, very cost-effective.
Roderick –
I just found out that to get the brightest setting you have to use this light at 5100k, which makes sense since it’s between the 2700k bulb and the 7500k bulb in the LEDs. This is an amazing light from GVM, it’s very powerful and useful when I’m shooting content for my real estate clients. In my video I have a use case using this 300w LED.
Spencer –
At this price, it’s an unbeatable bright light. It’s made of plastic, so for small indie projects it won’t survive a real production day, but be sure to deliver! !
Angelo –
In a quiet environment, the fan doesn’t make any noise at all. If you’re using it as a main light and doing something with a sound head (youtube videos, etc.) it should definitely not affect the audio. Bowens mounts are great and secure. Nice and tight. The thing mounted on it doesn’t wobble or anything. This lamp is beautiful and bright, and you will definitely get your money’s worth. I plan to buy more.
Nathan –
Great for bargain light. Great for small to medium studios. I use it as my main video light and it works just fine. becomes very bright. Most of the time I don’t have more than 45% bulbs. It comes with a fairly long cord (I still use an extension cord). Great supplementary light for beginners or professionals! The Bowens bracket is not as tight as I would like, but it is still very secure. The lamp itself is very portable. I definitely recommend. The only thing that sets this light apart is whether it has a battery pack!
Frank –
At this price point, few lights can compete in brightness and bi-color capability. If fan noise doesn’t interfere with your workflow, then this light is worth considering!
Dave –
Overall, it’s amazing. Durable, reliable and adjustable. If you like continuous lighting, it has everything you want. highly recommended!
Leopold –
Product is way better than I expected.
Owen –
I’ve been using GVM products for a while now and I’m very satisfied so far.
Basil –
I used it to shoot for 2 hours without any issues. Thanks to the internal fan, the lights stay cool without any overheating issues. The fans are very quiet and don’t disturb live recorded audio. It’s made of sturdy plastic, so this makes the unit super lightweight yet sturdy at the same time. The Bowens stand allows me to mount any other professional lighting accessories I may need. The mounting knob is large and has a nifty button to help turn the knob and adjust it. I’m concerned that this piece will be weaker due to its plastic construction, but I’m confident in its ability to hold a light and heavy softbox lantern after it’s raised. The large handle on top is super handy and a great place to hold while adjusting the lights. My only regret is having one of these!
Tobias –
The dimmer’s knob and on/off button work well.
Broderick –
I love that this lighting kit has everything you need to get started. It has a light stand, softbox, reflector and a strap to attach the power brick stand to the light stand. The cord is extra long and has velcro straps to keep it neat and tidy when packing. Speaking of which, the carrying case is great, it’s a soft but sturdy design, and it’s fairly small. The light comes with a tiny plastic dome they call a diffuser.
Alexander –
The light gets very bright, so you can match the amount of light coming into your space through the windows, so you can balance the shadows, matching hues to help blend natural light with artificial light. Also, dimming control over a wide range is great. Has a known ultra-pure color temperature (set camera white balance to this value and forget about it!). The lights are very quiet and the cooling system keeps them cool. I love this light because it’s very easy to use, great for photography, video, and it’s very sturdy.
Michell –
It’s a powerful light that’s easy to install, runs quietly, and isn’t too heavy. I think it’s really great for beginners, you can get a high quality light at an amazing price and it will last a long time! It’s a must in my opinion, you shouldn’t sleep on it, trust me you won’t regret it, I use it every day and I love the results this lamp gave me.
Edward –
This light is amazing I have been struggling with strobe lighting and finally decided to try continuous again. There’s no need to guess what the light looks like, it’s there so you can check the intensity and shadows before shooting. like that. So, decided to try this GVM light. I have one of these lights so I already know the quality and how it works. And this lamp has everything I want. There is a knob on the back to adjust the brightness. long power cord. LEDs are so much better than light bulbs. Shows percent light output on the rear display. There’s even a temperature display so you can see if it might be overheating. Now, this one even has a remote, which my older model didn’t have. Controlling the lights with the remote is much easier than controlling them manually, which is a great feature.
Hardy –
Perfect for its price. I recently used it on a video shoot and it adds the perfect amount of light
Kevin –
Awesome light that I use for interviews. Was so good that I have two now :).
Joseph –
I couldn’t find a better value for my lighting needs. This product exceeded my expectations, very bright and quiet, you can not almost hear the fan running. I recommend this light to anyone.
Blair –
If the photography is unsuccessful, you can always sell this thing to the police station to use as a searchlight. What a powerful force!
Barry –
Of course, this 300w LED is a direct competitor to Aputure’s 300x, which is also a 300w bi-color LED video light. This particular light has super color accuracy and renders skin tones well without changing and changing white balance. One thing I didn’t mention in the video overview is that the package comes with an extra light stand and softbox. With a rating of over 100,000 lux, this light is very bright. I haven’t used it in the sun, but I’m sure I have a lot of wiggle room when I use this LED on set. The bi-color nature of this LED makes it so versatile that I don’t need to carry extra colored gels, and it allows me to shoot in any lighting condition that can match the color of the environment. I didn’t mention in my video overview that the power brick is lighter and smaller than the Aputure 300x light, which means the carrying case is also more compact. I don’t like the included light stand, but I think they would work, but I would never trust this 300 watt LED light stand with a giant softbox.
Nick –
The Bowens stand makes this versatile and can be used for just about anything. I own three of them now and have been using them like crazy. love it!
Sean –
After being on a reality show. I decided I wanted to do something extra. Since everyone is in the film industry now, I wanted to start doing my own social media posts. The first thing you need is lighting. You need a really good lighting. I have ordered from this brand before and I really like this product. It is very easy to adjust and set up. It comes with a bag for storage and easy travel. It also comes with a honeycomb cover, but they do offer it for an extra fee. The LCD display is very nice and easy to use. You can adjust the stand and it supports it well. I’m not a photographer, but I’m trying to teach myself. I know being late really matters. I’m not too sure about the technical stuff, but it’s a very premium light that would be great for any photographer. Even people like me looking to up their social media game. My husband is also tattooed on the side. And he often borrows the lamp to assist him in his tattoo parlour. So you can use it for other purposes than photography. It’s very lightweight and easy to use. So far I am very happy with my purchase and I can’t wait to learn more about lighting and photography.
Toby –
There are some lights out there that perform as well as this one – the difference is that you can buy 4 or 5 of this for the price of 1 other. Do yourself a favor and save the money.
Tyler –
Excellent quality of light, Recommended!
Antonio –
The kit itself has been carefully designed and constructed. Quality materials and components. The stand is sturdy and can extend up to about 8 feet tall. The power cord and power supply are well made and built to last. There is a carrying strap that doubles as a mounting strap for the power supply. The light is powerful, well ventilated and sturdy. The lights can be adjusted via onboard controls or the app. The app is useful when controlling multiple lights. In one of my pictures you can see it lighting up my living room. It’s fully illuminated with almost no shadows. This is excellent.
Gilbert –
The light stand is nice. It’s not one of those cheaper terminal brackets. It works well and has great handling. The studs on the top got a little frayed from mounting the lights, so I wish it was stronger.
Carl –
I like the remote, it automatically shuts down to save battery.
Isaac –
GVM is the source of my studio lighting. This 300W light kit is another example of the company’s high-quality products. I already have a 200W version. However, I find that whenever I’m working on an outdoor project on a sunny day, I need two lights to help eliminate shadows on my subjects. So, I bought this 300W version.
Dennis –
Great little light. Ultra lightweight, suitable for overhead use. Very quiet fan.
Hubery –
Fully advanced LED light, fully functional. It’s great that the CRI 97+ bi-color LED offers such a large power output at this price. Professional quality lights that will replace Apurture lights at entry-level prices. I have purchased SD300D and SD150R. GVM has seriously built something amazing this time around.
Jeremy –
The lights are definitely different from the basic lights I get on Amazon for a higher price, but definitely worth it. I would recommend getting it!
Abel –
This is probably my new favorite photo light. Perfectly connected to my softbox and I love the light it emits.
Jeffrey –
Very happy with my purchase, it was exactly what I wanted and it worked great.
Michael –
Good light! We used it on our last wedding shoot and it was amazing! Love the remote. I tested the range and I’ve been on the other side of the house (at least 50 feet) and I was able to go through walls and everything using the remote. As a test, I ran it at 100% for 4 hours straight without overheating. The fan will keep running even if you turn off the lights with the remote. This works fine for me using it.
Oscar –
The light of this GVM is amazing! For a 300w LED, this is definitely bright. It’s so easy to use, and it even comes with a remote. Comes with a long osha cord, most manufacturers will give you a short one. It’s a Bowens mount style, and when I paired it with a smaller 36″ Lantern softbox, it worked great. Even in the field, it perfectly emits such a clean soft light.
Murphy –
I bought two of these to try out some creative portrait lighting. They really don’t seem to flicker. The Bowen stand works great with accessories I already have.
Meredith –
I really like this lamp. This is a great addition to my lighting arsenal. Whenever possible, I use it to light up my outdoor videos.
Winston –
The power is enough and I don’t use it alone as it’s not enough to light a medium sized room well enough with a diffuser material.
Alan –
As far as it goes, it’s probably the best of its kind. It’s as quiet as a light with a fan, and the build quality and size are excellent. It’s as bright as any other 300-watt lamp, so it’s comparable. This is a great light, but it’s definitely a beginner’s light.
Aaron –
First of all, this is a smart boy. At 100% it’s as bright as my two brightest panels combined, and the spread is much better. It has an aluminum body with vents on the top and bottom, and all the controls are on the back. It’s really simple considering everything, if you’ve used any other GVM lights you don’t need instructions, and honestly if you’re under 30 you probably don’t need them either, it’s actually two buttons and a dial. I keep my settings between 5000K-5500K which is a nice warm white tone and it gives me nice colors and fantastic brightness as both the warm and cool LEDs are near their maximum brightness use. I’m personally not a fan of the new grandstand genre – I understand the appeal of a stand that collapses from the inside out, but it’s not my cup of tea. It’s good to be clear, I’m just using my own. I have an old Interfit stand with a base that’s 4 feet wide and it’s impossible to knock it over – this is important for my sets as I work a lot with hobbyists and bands and not everyone…be careful …anyway, I have no complaints about the power of light, it’s absolutely morbid. I need to pick up two more soon so I can set them from my YouTube set to the other side of the room and light them up without breaking a sweat.
Sam –
I love the Bowens stand, I put the blade, filter, honeycomb and 60cm softbox and everything works fine.
William –
Very nice simple upgrade, finally nice to see in a lighting kit. 1. Power adapter harness! I’m tired of all this clutter and ropes stuck in knobs. 2. Lock the power cord. This seems like a basic principle, but hardly any company does it. 3. Compared with other similar lamps, it is light in weight. This unit is easy to handle. 4. Bright enough to act as a modest side key light. Thanks so much for this!
Geoffrey –
For me, the biggest highlight of this LED light is that it is very quiet! I mean it’s quiet! The biggest complaint many people (myself included) have when buying budget lights for video work is that they tend to be noisier than their more expensive counterparts. Not so with this cheap little gem. It’s a sleeper; you want to buy one, or two or three. They are so good. For their nature and cost, they are totally worth it. You won’t find quieter, brighter lights in this category. get one! Or two!
Louis –
This light will be the best choice for you as a photographer.
Jack –
good results. It’s really bright, quiet, and you can’t go wrong with the price. The controller is a bit clunky and it shuts itself off to save battery, but it works just fine.
Barton –
The lock on the Bowens mount felt solid and I didn’t have to hit it to get the latch to disengage.
Matthew –
The display is large and easy to read. It does get darker at steep angles, but it’s still easy to read.
Henry –
I love GVM lights. I’ve never had a problem with the lights not working or overheating. The fans were very quiet. Fans won’t make audio for your movie unless you put a lav mic on the lights. I actually only use GVM lights (utility lights not included) for my short film Cyber??? Attack. I hope to have a GVM 600watt one day.
Alfred –
It has a diffuser cap. I’ll have to check it out if it’s protecting the LED chip during travel (protective cover not included) or if it’s a diffuser. I’m a little scared to use it because the chip gets hot during use. I might just use it for travel protection.
Eden –
The carrying case is great, it’s a soft but sturdy design, and it’s fairly small.
Robin –
Reflectors are great. It really focuses the light and lets you get some extra output out of it. Much better than most 7″ reflectors that come with these lights.
Eugene –
Great value! Fulfills all my needs for product photos and portrait videos.
John –
The fans weren’t loud, you could hear it, but since I took more photos than videos, it wasn’t a big deal.
Franklin –
This 300 watt light is a lot more powerful than I need, I might go for a 200 watt or even a 100 watt light, but I like to have enough power to have some versatility in case I need it in the future. Now with a big softbox I only have about 10% power and it works great.
Ralap –
Have no complaints.
Theodore –
Check out the build quality. While the lights are mostly made of plastic, for areas with metal, they do get hot after being on for a while. So when the light comes on, be careful and only handle the plastic parts. The tightening knob on the yoke is solid. The Bowens attachment works smoothly. Overall, I feel like if you take care of it, the light stays the same.
Lester –
Great value for money. It lights up beautifully, it’s not the main light. But as a back or filler, it’s great.
Kennedy –
While a lot of people love to hate that GVM products aren’t “professional,” this 300W COB light and many of their other products are just as good as their big-name competitors. I’m no stranger to GVM lights. I have a set of their 75 watt panels and they are great considering the price point. This 300W COB is as good as the Apurture 300x in terms of features (Apture wins in design and build, but at 2.5 times the price). The light output is excellent – very bright – but considering it’s dimmable, I’d rather go for very bright as I often use it with two layers of diffuser. And the advertised 5600k color temperature is dead. One of my complaints is the power pack, it doesn’t have a way to hang it on the light stand, and it’s too heavy to hang. I glued a 3-M hook through the gorilla and attached a loop of thin wire so I could hang it from the tension knob on a light stand, like an Aputure power supply, but with the exception of the slight Annoyance aside, my jury came up with a solution. , otherwise the light is perfect. As far as fan noise goes, it’s quiet enough for almost any application (especially considering it’s so bright that you can place it away from the mic rather than a low-powered light). With proper placement and use of a shotgun mic, it’s nearly silent. This light is very good value for money.
Chester –
At this price point, there are few lights on the market this bright. So if you just need a bright video light for your home studio, this is a great option.
Arnold –
In photography work, light is the most important, for video, light and sound are the most important, if you have this GVM light, your work is 1/3 done. I am very happy with it.
Colin –
Build quality is very good. It’s a plastic-type material, but it looks and feels well done. There are some metal parts (watch out for heat). I think that’s a benefit of dealing with heat.
Greg –
Most LED video lights you see are 60w. Maybe 120w sometimes. This bad boy is 300w. It was crazy bright. This is handy if you’re shooting in an area with some ambient light, using large modifiers, or if you have to keep the light source away from the subject. I’ve been in a few situations where using a 300 watt light would have made the job a lot easier.
Lambert –
The main body of construction is metal and plastic. The metal requirements for the heat dissipation area are higher.
Ellis –
It has a standard Bowens mount. This will be very helpful if you have other lights (Godox???) that use the same Bowen system. Additional modifiers feel good and safe.
Vic –
The power cord is very simple. It clips onto the back of the device, and the power pack can be mounted on a stand. A long cable connects the power pack to the wall.
George –
Large screen lighting for easy manual operation.
Sebastian –
Compatible with a wide variety of modifiers available on the market due to the use of Bowens mounts.
Bennett –
It comes with a diffuser and a reflector so I can use it out of the box. I like to use it with a large reflector disk for beautiful, full lighting.
Jeff –
very quiet. Since most of what I do is video, it’s important to me to have bright light that doesn’t create a lot of noise. The only way I can get any audio out of it is if I put a mic on it.
Elijah –
This is an extremely powerful light. For long distances and large boxes, this is the light to use.
August –
Once I see this light is available, no If’s , And’s or But are about getting it. GVM makes great video lighting products that are easy to use, affordable and high performance. This may be the fourth light I’ve gotten from the GVM, but it’s the most modern and easy-to-control light I can use for event photography and video. I’ve been thinking about getting more into video, but photography has been very lucrative so far.
Mark –
Includes many special effects like candles, tv, etc. I didn’t use those, but they’re there if you need them.
Christopher –
It’s great to see GVM push their game up with new lightweight releases every year. This light is a huge step up from their previous budget light boards and I can’t wait to see what they will do in the years to come.
Parker –
The knobs and buttons both feel good, although I did find that if I had to go from one end of the scale to the other, it took a lot of turns to get there. The good news is that it can be linked to other lights so I can control all lights from one master. It even has app controls to make it even easier.
Kim –
I was curious and bought it as an option for photography.
Jim –
App works fine (you need to enable bluetooth and location) and you have full control, even if you close the app, when you open it again, the light is still connected and you can control it.
Arthur –
I love this lamp. It’s built like a tank, albeit with some hard plastic but mostly metal with an aluminum handle. This daylight balanced light is very bright, like 300W, and with the reflector in the package, it gets even brighter. You can’t go wrong with a quality lamp from the CRI 97*, and then there’s the price, it’s probably the most affordable 300W daylight-balanced lamp with a price cut. I am very happy with this lamp and have no complaints.
Leo –
It also comes with a nice travel/storage box. It will keep everything together nicely.
Simon –
Overall a fantastic light. highly recommended.
Merlin –
Overall, I recommend this light, and it’s now on sale for about $299.99, which is a good price for this light. For reference, a similar one from Godox is $499.
Dick –
The build quality makes this light a money saver. The lamp itself has a fair amount of plastic. However, the yoke is metal and has teeth on the rosette so it can handle larger modifiers 60 inches or larger. Very solid setup.
Francis –
Very good light, no flicker and very powerful. Not as good as a flash, it’s great indoors at night and during the day, not outdoors during the day. The remote works great and you can adjust the power. Overall the light is good,
Addison –
The included case is fantastic. It offers tons of protection and looks very professional in front of clients.
Julian –
Quiet: Quiet even at 100% intensity, yes, the sound is there, but can’t be picked up when doing video reviews.
Marlon –
Color accuracy is not exactly the same as the LED screen on the back of the lamp. A true 5600K is closer to a 6800k – 7000K. As long as you know this and adjust, it shouldn’t hold you back too much. The lights are a bit magenta, but not overpowering and easy to correct in post.
Joshua –
Operation and dials are very intuitive. You turn the “BRG” dial and it will adjust the brightness level. You may need to adjust it by switching the Mode to Rotation. Otherwise, you are in master/slave mode. I want to have only one master/slave switch with all modes. But not the boss. DMX requires an adapter (not included) – but won’t show up on the schema until the adapter is plugged in.
Herman –
Powerful: 300W gives you great power and light
Caesar –
If you’re looking for something like the Apture 300D, but want a more budget option, this might be a good option, they claim a CRI of 97, which is great especially at this price point, the body is mostly It’s plastic, but for studio use it’s fine. Something useful about this light is an LED display that shows your power settings, so it’s easier if you’re running multiple lights and need to match them. The power cord is also lockable, not a standard IEC cable, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally pulling it out. Overall, this is an amazing lamp that offers performance above its price range and I would recommend it to anyone
